Evidence-based consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and management of protoporphyria-related liver dysfunction in ePP & XLP

Hepatology 79(3):p 731-743, March 2024. | DOI: 10.1097/HEP.0000000000000546

These consensus guidelines offer a standardized framework for the detection, evaluation, and tailored management of hepatic complications in erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP) and X-linked protoporphyria (XLP), aiming to improve patient outcomes through proactive, multidisciplinary care.

The guidelines were developed through the NIH-funded Porphyrias Consortium.
